The interior of Crawfang Tavern is not a very pleasant one. Wooden chairs half-chewed by termites are carelessly arranged on the mottled wooden floor, along with the dirty tables which looked like they might have seen better days. A haggard looking bar-maid sweeps the floor, and keeps an eye out for customers to serve.
Francesca sat on the stool in front of the bar, chatting with the animal trainer Rucmue, when suddenly, a tall imposing figure entered the doorway. Both women turned around and two pairs of eyes settled upon a tall, beautiful lady, with long, silky hair as black as the inky night. The woman's clear blue eyes scanned the room, as if looking for someone. Finally her gaze stopped on Rucmue and Francesca.
"Ah, ladies," The tall woman said, her voice both sounding sweet and haughty at once. "I see that you are both skilled in the arts of magic. Perhaps you would like to aid me in my quest? I assure you it would be worth your while."
Rucmue and Francesca both looked so interested, that the lady had to surpress a smirk. "What is it about?" Rucmue said, taking a dainty sip from her ale.
The lady smiled, "Well, let me first introduce myself. I am the wizardess Mierin, and I need two brave women to help me get a precious treasure."
Francesca remained silent, while Rucmue furrowed her brows and spoke up, "What kind of treasure?"
Mierin chuckled and waved her hands, "Oh, the usual. A cave filled with magical daggers, gold, and other nice things."
"And you want them all?" Francesca interjected, looking at Mierin dubiously.
Mierin smiled slightly, "No. I said I just want one thing. The other treasures are to whoever helps me find it. However, the journey is quite dangerous." She raised a left eyebrow at Francesca.
Francesca snorted slightly and face Mierin, "Well, you did mention danger, and that's enough to get me going."
Rucmue nodded, "Yes. Count me in, too."
Mierin clapped her hands lightly, looking somewhat delighted.
"Very well," She began, already heading outside the tavern, "Meet me tomorrow by noon at Habrin Bridge. And don't be late!"
Mierin stepped outside, and Rucmue looked at Francesca.
"Will you wait for me at Limbo?" Rucmue said.
Francesca smiled an affirmative, and turned around once more, this time to order a tall glass of ale.
